Monty's Bay Campsites was established as a sole proprietorship by Gerard and Sally Bechard in 1963 with 140 campsites, a beachside day picnic area, and a convenience store. This family business has grown to the current size of 134 campsites and, in 1991 added Gilbert Brook Marina. The marina has 168 boat slips, 98 boat moorings and a boat ramp. We have also added a modern heated tiled bathhouse, office/convenience store, pool and laundry facilities. To this day the children, and grandchildren, of Gerard and Sally are still involved in the management of the business.
