The Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City (formerly called the Jewish Community Council) was organized in 1941 to serve the social welfare needs of the Jewish community. Today, the Jewish Federation is the central address for community-wide needs - an umbrella organization sponsoring a wide variety of educational, cultural, and community outreach programs and services as well as serving as an important safety net for individuals and families in need. The Jewish Federation's Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) is the instrument by which Jewish interests in public life are served. The JCRC helps to further relations between our Jewish community and the general community. The JCRC maintains an ongoing relationship and communication with public and private school administrations regarding the observance of Jewish holidays and the school calendar.
