About
The Boca Raton Museum of Art School campus was founded at its current site in the historic neighborhood of Old Floresta, in Boca Raton, Florida in 1961. Old Floresta, as its name implies, is characterized by old growth shade trees, narrow streets, and elegant bungalows originally designed by Addison Mizner in the 1920s. The area was designated Boca Raton’s first historic district in 1990. Situated in a park like setting directly off Palmetto Park Road, large trees shade our vast sculpture garden and invite numerous social and art activities around the property. The Art School is a dynamic active art center with more than 5,000 annual enrollments in our eleven creative studio areas. Faculty and students of all ages and levels find a place where they can share their enthusiasm for the visual arts and process of making art, learn new skills, experiment, and grow in their creativity and talents. The school offers courses in ceramics, sculpture, painting, textiles, multimedia, photography, ikebana, and jewelry design among other creative endeavors.
